Bethany and Eric Engagement Photo Session, Chapel of the Holy Cross and Red Rock State Park, Sedona, AZ

We photographed Bethany and Eric's epic Engagement Session in Sedona, starting out at the beautifully designed Chapel of the Holy Cross, and finishing creekside at Red Rock State Park. Bethany and Eric brought along some fun props, including a wooden ampersand handmade by Eric's father, a tin LOVE banner, and their favorite Syracuse and Detroit jerseys. These two had a blast hamming it up for us--we can't wait for their wedding!

Amy and Ryan Engagement Session at Heritage Square, Phoenix, AZ

We had a great time photographing Amy and Ryan's Engagement Session at Heritage Square Park in Phoenix. This was a new location for us and we were thrilled Amy and Ryan suggested it. The historic brick buildings, wooden porches, and concrete stairs of the adjacent Arizona Science Center made for some great backdrops. We were also happy to discover Amy and Ryan share our love for animals (cats!). These two brought along some fun props, including their black and gold Steeler's jerseys and Terrible Towels. We can't wait for their wedding next spring!

Brittany and Chris' Engagement Session, Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix, AZ

Brittany and Chris, who will be married out of state this fall, wanted their Engagement Session to be in a natural Arizona locale with a organic feel to it. Sedona was a bit too far given time constraints, so the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix seemed like a perfect choice. We had photographed weddings there before, but never an Engagement Session, and were excited to give it a shot without the schedule of a busy wedding day. The late March weather, abundance of wildflowers, and textural elements of cactus and even Dale Chihuly glass sculptures provided the perfect backdrop for these two soon-to-be-marrieds. We wish them the best!

Amber and Jeff Engagement Session, Tempe Center for the Arts, AZ

Amber and Jeff met us this past October at the Tempe Center for the Arts for their Engagement Session photo date. Although we've photographed here before, we're constantly amazed how this location transforms over the course of a day, with new photo opportunities presenting themselves each hour.

We started out in the soft diffused shade of the Center's building and courtyard. As the sun started to set, we then moved to the new pedestrian bridge, just completed on October 18th of this year. The 912-foot long bridge connects the north and south end of Tempe Town Lake for pedestrians and bicyclists, and also shades and cools the repaired dam system. Best of all, it provided a beautiful backdrop for Amber and Jeff's pictures! After the sun went down, we headed back to the Center, where orange fire pits sprung to life against the blue of the pedestrian bridge in the distance.

Amber and Jeff first met each other at work back in 2007. They were recently engaged this past April at sunset on a secluded La Jolla beach, and are looking forward to their April 2012 wedding at Regale
