Baby Portraits

It's been nearly three years since we photographed Susan and Eugene's wedding, and they recently invited us into their home to photograph their adorable 3-month-old baby Ethan! I brought my studio lights and backdrop and set up in their living room. We had a good time catching up with each other and keeping little Ethan entertained.

Wedding Portrait Session at Regale at DC Ranch

We recently photographed another mock wedding session at Regale at DC Ranch in Scottsdale. It seems we discover new photo opportunities every time we go there. The sunset and evening lighting made for some very dramatic portraits! We can't wait to photograph our first wedding at this new venue. Special thanks to Alli Mandoske of Life Through a Lens Photography for providing models Susan and Allan!

Lampworked Glass Beads from the Arizona Society of Glass Beadmakers

Here is just a small selection from the project. The artists, from top to bottom, are: Penny Dickinson, Michele Coletti, Kathryn Guler, Gail Finney, Dolly Ahles, Diane Sepanski, Diane Rogers, Anita Farrah, Kiersten Kern, Diane Sepanski, Penny Dickinson, Michele Coletti, and Gail Finney.

What? Is There Something in my Hair?

Amanda and I seem to have a knack for finding these little guys at the tops of mountain peaks every summer. The ladybugs swarm all over tree trunks, branches, and even radio towers. We found this particular group after a mile hike to the top of Madera Peak, in the Pinal Mountains just outside Globe. I love the way they tucked themselves into the bark of alligator juniper trees.
